Every day you missed
Back to Saturday, 1 August 2026, which is as far as the filing goes.
PracticeArchive days are practice. They do not count towards your streak.
Guess today's five-letter business word in six. A day you have played shows its score out of 6. A dashed cell is not available.

About the archive
Every past day of JARGON, VALUATION, THE AUDIT and PAY BANDS, back to the day each one launched. Pick a date and play it exactly as it was.
It is practice, and it says so
An archive day is the same puzzle it was, which means anybody who played it on the day already knows the answer, and anybody who did not can take as many runs at it as they like. So an archive score is not comparable to a live one and is not treated as though it were.
That is deliberate rather than an oversight. The alternative is generating fresh puzzles for past dates, which would make the archive a different game wearing the date of a real one.
What it is actually useful for
- Catching up. Miss a day and the streak is gone, but the puzzle is not.
- Learning a game you keep losing. THE AUDIT in particular teaches you more from three attempts at one board than from three different boards, because you can see how the hardest group was hidden.
- Settling an argument. Hand somebody the day you found impossible and watch.
Streaks only count consecutive days played live, and they are kept in your own browser rather than on an account, so clearing your site data clears them too. That is the trade for not making you sign up for anything.
